GRASSROOTS PREP TRAINING

Prepare players for evaluation and recruitment opportunities

The Grassroots Prep Training will provide underprivileged youth in the Milwaukee area, some with potential to earn athletic scholarships and attend college, an opportunity beyond what their parents could afford. We will prepare them for NCAA DI and II Live Period Recruiting events where they will be playing in front of college coaches with the possibility of earning a college scholarship.

Focus Areas
  • Development of positional skills necessary to excel during the NCAA Live Recruiting Periods
  • Performance training with a concentration on agility, conditioning, strength and explosiveness
  • Gaining strength going into the summer season

Participants
  • Training is open to boys grades 8-11
  • We are currently recruiting 4 point guards, 4 post players, and 8 wings to participate
  • All participants are selected by DRIVE and must meet eligibility requirements
Schedule
  • Based on position, the players will be scheduled 3 times a week
  • 6 total workouts per week (3 basketball skills and 3 performance workouts)
